Wisdom tooth.... Why is it called so??Your wisdom tooth will start erupting when you start getting wisdom... The age for both correlates... Hence it is called so. Its a myth that if you get your wisdom tooth removed it will make you less smarter.. or will cause any effect on your eyes. Infact when a wisdom tooth or third molars as we say are troubling you it is better to get them removed and be comfortable.Yes the surgery might leave you with some discomfort for a short period of time.. but after all it is a surgery... It will take some time to heal like the other surgeries. Like appendix, wisdom teeth are also vestigial. If you get an infection in your appendix (appendicitis) you need to get it removed. Same is with your wisdom teeth. If it gets infected it needs to be removed. The surgery is done under local anesthesia.. with minimum discomfort.. followed by painkillers and antibiotics. So it is advisable to get your wisdom teeth removed (without loosing any wisdom of course π) from an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery only ππ¦·ππ¦· #WisdomTeeth #OralSurgery #32Sparklets #Mohali
